FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The Tibet Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All donations to The Tibet Fund are tax-exempt to the extent allowed by law. We do our best to ensure that donations are used effectively where they are most needed. 

In 2008, 93% of our budget went directly to programs benefiting Tibetans. Contributions for general operating support enable us to send 100% of the sponsorship funds we receive to schools, monasteries, nunneries and elder homes. Our annual audits are conducted by Loeb & Troper.

direction, and approves the administration
of funds. 

Board members who joined in 2007 include
three former senior members of the
Central Tibetan Administration with
extensive knowledge of and experience
with Tibetan refugee communities,
a principal English translator to
H.H. the Dalai Lama who has authored
many academic journals and translated
several books by H.H. the Dalai Lama,
and a world-renowned teacher and
author of numerous publications on
Tibetan Buddhism.
