The Department of Education (DoE), Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), is pleased to announce a new scholarship program entitled the Sikyong Professional Scholarship Program (SPSP) in partnership with The Tibet Fund (TTF), New York.
The Sikyong Professional Scholarship Program (SPSP) was launched by The Tibet Fund, in partnership with the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).
The SPSP was an initiative to support high achieving Tibetan students from India, Nepal and Bhutan who wish to pursue professional degrees at the most selective colleges, institutes and universities in India. Applicants will receive scholarships of up to INR 300,000 a depending upon their academic need.
Scholarships will be provided by the Tibet Fund through the Department of Education, CTA to selected candidates pursuing degree courses including Master’s degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Dental Surgery (B.D.S), Law (LL. B) Or Architecture (B. Arch.) at any one of the top ten colleges in India accredited by NAAC with the rank of “A” or above.Pre-scholarship awards will also be granted to class XII students who wish to pursue M.B.B.B. at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) or B.E at the Indian Institute of Engineering (I.I.T).
Pre-scholarship study award will be granted for up to one gap year after completing class XII to candidates who wish to pursue full time coaching at one of the six coaching centers listed by the Department of Education. Such candidates may also be eligible to receive SPSP once they have secured admission to AIIMS or IIT.
