STRENGTHENING SAFETY AND PROTECTION
To address the prevalence of gender-based violence, we support the Tibetan Women Helpline, which continues to operate as a safe and confidential space offering counseling, legal aid, and emergency assistance. Community awareness drives help survivors come forward and receive the care and protection they need.
Internal Complaint Committees have been established in settlements and schools, with members trained in safety, prevention, and redressal protocols. Awareness sessions engage students, youth, community leaders, and women’s groups, while barefoot counselors offer home-based guidance and emotional support. Camp leaders receive training to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse. Safety audits help ensure that schools and settlements remain secure environments for women and girls.
