Tibetan Artist Grants Supporting Culture and Creativity

Contemporary Artist Grants Fund

The Tibet Fund is pleased to announce the recipients of its maiden Contemporary Artist Grants Fund. This new fund is part of The Tibet Fund’s Contemporary Arts Program, which aims to empower artists to create new work and reach wider audiences.

This year 15 grants of up to $20,000 were awarded to support creative projects across ten contemporary art forms. The Tibet Fund received applications from over 50 contemporary Tibetan artists around the world including filmmakers, musicians, painters, writers, and multi-media artists.

Applications were reviewed by a panel of senior Tibetan artists and The Tibet Fund. International advisors of the Tibetan Arts Council were invited to review applications to provide perspectives and expertise in their respective fields.

The next Call For Proposals for the Contemporary Artist Grants Fund will be on November 1st with a deadline of January 15, 2027. The next cycle of grants will be made in early 2027.
