Champa Norzom Weinreb

Champa Norzom Weinreb was born and grew up in Lhasa, Tibet. Her family fled from Tibet to India in early 1959. After completing her primary education in India, she was one of the early Tibetans to arrive in the U.S. She is a Graduate of Wells College in Aurora, New York. In 1977 she began an entrepreneurial path, co-founding a business, Tenba, which manufactured, distributed and exported patented camera and computer bags. She is a certified Score Mentor, serving the New York small business community.  Score is a nonprofit SBA resource partner that fosters small business growth. Since 1974 she has actively supported the local Tibetan community association in New York, and in 2002 facilitated the association to obtain its 501(c) 3 nonprofit status. She has served on The Tibet Fund board since 2002.
