Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society was founded on June 16, 1999, in Dharamsala to offer educational resources, administrative guidance, and facilities to member schools. These schools initially established by dispersed Tibetan communities residing in towns for livelihood reasons were subsequently transferred to the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) for improved management and sustainability. Currently, the organization supervises 33 schools situated across India.
