Snow Lion Foundation (SLF) was founded in 1972 in Nepal. It is dedicated to advancing education, healthcare, and social welfare for Tibetan communities. Today, SLF oversees nine schools, serving a combined total of 1549 Tibetan and local children from the Himalayan region. The foundation also extends support to an elderly home catering to seniors and administers two primary health care clinics.

Tenzin Choedon is raised by a single parent. Her mother weaves Tibetan aprons, earning minimally to support their daily living. Despite the challenges of being a single parent and supporting two children, she is deeply committed to ensuring they receive a basic education. Tenzin is currently studying at TCV School, where her school fees are waived. However, providing additional support for her remains a significant challenge for her mother.
