SUSTAINING TIBETAN LANGUAGE

Tibetan language faces growing threats in Tibet, where repressive policies and Chinese-medium boarding schools are eroding its use among younger generations. In exile, preserving and revitalizing the Tibetan language has become more urgent than ever. We work with  partners to ensure the next generation of Tibetans sustains their linguistic and cultural identity.
We support the creation of children’s books and animation videos, digital media, immersive language programs, and adult literacy classes.
