Tenzing has more than two decades of expertise in international development, philanthropy, and democratic governance. As Executive Vice President he focuses on strategic resource mobilization and fundraising, and supports the President with overall management of the organization. Before joining The Tibet Fund, Tenzing was with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems, where he guided a five-year program supporting the 2021 Tibetan elections and strengthening institutions of Tibetan democracy. In that role he worked closely with the Central Tibetan Administration and U.S. Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. Tenzing has also held senior roles at PATH India and The California Endowment, and was a doctoral fellow at the RAND Graduate School. He has a Master’s in Management and Policy from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Bharathiar University.
