Tibetan Civil Society Empowerment Program
The submission period for the Tibetan Civil Society Empowerment Program 2025 is now officially closed.
The Tibet Fund is pleased to announce the eighth annual funding cycle of its Tibetan Civil Society Empowerment Program (TCSEP). This program empowers Tibetan social entrepreneurs in India and Nepal to make positive change in their communities by addressing local needs in the areas of education, health, livelihoods and community development, women and girls empowerment, culture, and the arts.
Awards range from $5,000 to $40,000 per grant for continuing partners, and up to $10,000 for new applicants. Existing social impact partners are encouraged to apply. New applicants should demonstrate their potential to establish multi-year partnerships with The Tibet Fund, enabling them to increase their organizational capacity and impact.
Proposals should ideally include:
Evidence-based solution to a problem, need, or challenge that is well-aligned with The Tibet Fund’s mission and is not being met by other programs or existing service providers.
Clear, specific information about proposed activities, intended beneficiaries and outcomes, and measurable results.
Information about the organization’s management team and capacity demonstrating it can successfully deliver the project.
Eligibility
Any Tibetan-led nonprofit organization that is engaged in social impact or culture preservation work in South Asia, including but not limited to education, health, livelihood development, community development, women and girls empowerment, language preservation, and the arts.
Ineligibility
Scholarships, stipends, public events, advocacy, political activities, and one-time activities.

Proposals sent by post will not be accepted.
